Application period open for the 0-16 child benefit
The 0-16 Childhood Fund offers urgent social funding for vulnerable families with children and/or teenagers, to help cover their basic needs. This year’s budget is 14 million euros, although this will depend on the number of people meeting the requisites to qualify. The application period for this benefit is open until 28 June.

Applications can be made via the procedures website or in person at the support spaces at the Social and Economic Benefits Office, at C/ Aragó, 344, and at the Monumental Citizen Help and Information Office (OAC) at C/ Sicília, 216.
Those benefiting from the 0-16 Fund will get financial help in the form of the Barcelona Solidarity Card. The calendar for payments will be published on the Childhood Fund website.
The amount awarded is €600 for one child cared for; €1,050 for two minors; €1,350 for three minors and then an additional €300 per child from the fourth child on. Single-parent families will receive an additional €600.
The 0-16 Fund reached 12,374 families last year, with over 13 million euros used to help 21,481 minors. A virtual assistant has been added to help deal with queries from families relating to this year’s call.
