Two new calls have an allocation of 10.5 million euros to renovate the interior of homes and improve the accessibility of buildings. The subsidies will allow for work relating to energy efficiency and functional adaptation, the installation of lifts and the elimination of architectural barriers. Applications can be submitted from the day after the calls are published in the DOGC and up to 31 December 2026 for renovation subsidies, and up to 11 December 2026 for accessibility subsidies.

Funding to improve home interiors

The renovation call has an allocation of six million euros and is aimed at owners and tenants wishing to improve their usual homes.

Subsidies can be given to enhance the comfort of temperatures and energy efficiency, such as the renewal of windows and doors and the replacement of fossil-fuel heating systems with solutions based on renewable or biomass. Also included are projects for functional adaptation to favour the autonomy of people with disabilities, using smart home devices and other technology.

Subsidies may reach up to 6,000 euros per home, as long as the work has a minimum cost of 1,000 euros. For the energy efficiency and functional adaptation programmes, the maximum amount may reach 9,000 euros. The application period closes on 31 December 2026.

Greater accessibility in buildings

The second call allocates 4.5 million euros to owner/tenant communities to install lifts and eliminate architectural barriers in common elements in buildings.

The installation of lifts in buildings of three or more floors may be subsidised by up to 40% of the cost, up to a maximum of 45,000 euros, or up to 60,000 euros in the case of outside lifts. For projects to eliminate architectural barriers, subsidies may cover up to 30% of the work, up to a maximum of 30,000 euros.

The call also includes a social cohesion subsidy for economically vulnerable families, which may cover up to 100% of the proportional part of the work that corresponds to them. The deadline for these subsidies closes on 11 December.
